If you’re cutting back on alcohol, giving up or just decided to drink more responsibly, here are some tips for resisting those alcohol cravings.
- Identify your motivation – why do you want to quit or cut down. Having a motivator will help you remember why you’re doing it, for you health, your kids etc.
2. Find alternatives to drinking alcohol – for example when you would ordinarily drink alcohol at a pub, opt for a coffee shop insetad.
3. Reshape your social patterns – Alot of your socialising may revolve around alcohol. Find an alternative to meeting your mates after work for a pint.
4. Find something else you enjoy – it may sound like a cliche’ but get a hobby or something to keep you distracted that you enjoy.
