A man in Kuala Lumpur has become the latest victim of poisonous alcohol. The Indian national has gone blind and 40 other people have died as a result of the methanol-laced alcohol.
The 32 year old man bought the alcohol from a shop near the Bangsar Light Rail Transit (LRT) station.He soon after began developing complications in his eye sight becoming blurry at first and then dark.
He was taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment but this incident highlights an important issue and the risks of buying alcohol at dodgy stores when overseas, especially in developing countries.
