Importance of Responsible Service of Alcohol Highlighted in The Hunter

The NSW government is sending a strong message to licensees that reckless alcohol promotions and the sale of alcohol to minors will not be tolerated, having sanctioned the New Castle Hotel and suspended the license of a liquor store on the central coast.

Parliamentary secretary for the Hunter, Scot MacDonald said the government made no apologies for its actions because the wellbeing of the community is the main priority.

These incidents highlight the importance of responsible service of alcohol and avoiding the promotion of binge drinking.
