The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) won’t be ordering voting polls for restaurant and cafe licences in the City of Boroondara anymore.

In the past the regulator was obliged to order a poll of residents in a dry area before granting an application for a general hotel or bar, on premises or club licence.

The move has brought the area in line with regulations in the City of Whitehorse.
