Average Number of Drinks Men and Women Have at Every Age, Charted

According to new research published in the journal BMC Medicine, the chart above is an illustration of what life looks like in terms of how much we drink.

As the chart shows frequent drinking becomes more common around the age of 25 for men, at which stage they consume around 13 drinks a week on average. Women tend to drink considerably less.
