RSA VICTORIA
Updated 11th November 2011: No – Neither our OLGR QLD approved certificate or our National certificate are valid for RSA in Victoria.
An RSA course approved by Responsible Alcohol Victoria will need to be completed to work in the Victorian liquor industry.
In the Victoria, face-to-face RSA training is mandatory for licensees and staff selling, offering or serving liquor for general, on-premises, late night and packaged liquor licences. Licensees and staff subject to mandatory RSA requirements will then need to complete the approved RSA Online Refresher Course within three years of completing their last RSA program. THIS COURSE WILL TEACH YOU TO:
- Identify customers to whom service should be refused.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages responsibly.
- Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits.
- Assist alcohol affected customers.
RSA TRAINING APPLIES TO:
- licensees;
- approved managers;
- staff, including promotional staff, involved in the sale, supply and service of alcohol;
- volunteers, including club directors, who have liquor service responsibilities and
- security officers with crowd control duties.
