Yes – our OLGR QLD approved certificate is valid for RSA QLD

In Qld it is mandatory (since 1st Jan 2009) for certain people involved in Queensland’s liquor industry to have a current RSA training course certificate. The certificate must be issued by an Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) approved trainer. Our trainer is an OLGR approved trainer.

The people who must do RSA training in QLD (RSA QLD)

the licensee (if an individual)
a member of staff of the licensed premises who is involved in the service or supply of liquor at the premises. Staff members involved in the service or supply of liquor include approved managers, bartenders, glass collectors, floor hostesses and room service staff

RSA QLD New Employee’s

New employees have 30 days to obtain their RSA training course certificate, which will be valid for 3 years.
Queensland will recognise an interstate ‘statement of attainment’ in SITHFAB009A to provide Responsible Service of Alcohol. However you will need to complete an RSA bridging module either online or face-to-face. This will be coming soon.

RSA QLD – Allows you to work in the Liquor Industry in QLD

THIS COURSE WILL TEACH YOU TO:

Identify customers to whom service should be refused.
Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages responsibly.
Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits.
Assist alcohol affected customers.

RSA TRAINING APPLIES TO:

licensees;
approved managers;
staff, including promotional staff, involved in the sale, supply and service of alcohol;
volunteers, including club directors, who have liquor service responsibilities and
security officers with crowd control duties.
