QLD – The OLGR approved National SITHFAB009A course is required. This is the course we offer.
NT, ACT, SA – The National SITHFAB009A course is required. This is the course that we offer.
WA - The nationally accredited unit of competency SITHFAB009A is accepted. This is the course that we offer.
(In WA you have a second choice that no other State provides. You may choose to undertake a “non-accredited abridged course” through another provider. This non-accredited abridged course will only be valid in WA. Whereas the course we offer will allow you to work in WA and QLD, SA, NT,ACT, VIC -see VIC extra conditions)
VIC – For those who by law require RSA you have two choices. 1. The National SITHFAB009A course delivered by face to face training that issues a Victorian certificate (we do not offer this option) 2. Our online course with both certificates that we issue that cover the National SITHFAB009A, followed by applying for interstate recognition through the Victorian Department of Justice. Link to recognise interstate RSA Certificate (Completing our course (National Course) and then completing the free online bridging course (Victorian specific information) is necessary for you to have a full understanding.
TAS – Must be a National SITHFAB009A course, the RTO must meet the AQTF in relation to continuing registration, it must be customized for the State, and RTO’s must have measures in place to verify the ID of the student and that it is them doing the course. Tasmanian specific course is coming soon.
NSW – NSW Guidelines for online training are coming soon. Currently must be an RSA course approved by the NSW Casino, Liquor & Gaming Control Authority to work in the NSW liquor industry. NSW specific course is coming soon.
THIS COURSE WILL TEACH YOU TO:
- Identify customers to whom service should be refused.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages responsibly.
- Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits.
- Assist alcohol affected customers.
RSA TRAINING APPLIES TO:
- licensees;
- approved managers;
- staff, including promotional staff, involved in the sale, supply and service of alcohol;
- volunteers, including club directors, who have liquor service responsibilities and
- security officers with crowd control duties.
