In Tasmania RSA training is mandatory for all staff involved in the sale or service of alcohol.
RSA courses in Tasmania must be approved by the Commissioner for Licensing, the Licensing Board and the Tasmanian Gaming Commission.
The Commissioner for Licensing has determined that courses with the national unit of competency, Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB009A) conducted by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) will be recognised in future.
We provide the Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB009A) unit of competency, currently accepted in Queensland, South Australia, Northern Territory, Western Australia, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria, with completion of Victoria’s online refresher course, as an RSA certificate.

THIS COURSE WILL TEACH YOU TO:
- Identify customers to whom service should be refused.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages responsibly.
- Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits.
- Assist alcohol affected customers.
RSA TRAINING APPLIES TO:
- licensees;
- approved managers;
- staff, including promotional staff, involved in the sale, supply and service of alcohol;
- volunteers, including club directors, who have liquor service responsibilities and
- security officers with crowd control duties.
