In NSW RSA training is mandatory for licensees, serving and security staff at all licensed venues. Training from other states and territories is not currently accepted in New South Wales.
RSA courses in NSW have to be approved by the Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority before it’s valid for the NSW liquor industry.
We provide the Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB009A) unit of competency, accepted in Queensland, South Australia, Northern Territory, Western Australia, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria, with completion of Victoria’s online refresher course, as an RSA certificate.

THIS COURSE WILL TEACH YOU TO:
- Identify customers to whom service should be refused.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages responsibly.
- Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits.
- Assist alcohol affected customers.
RSA TRAINING APPLIES TO:
- licensees;
- approved managers;
- staff, including promotional staff, involved in the sale, supply and service of alcohol;
- volunteers, including club directors, who have liquor service responsibilities and
- security officers with crowd control duties.
